MEDICAL CAREER PROGRAMS

MEDICAL BILLING & CODING

Our Medical Billing and Coding (MBC) program will deliver the skills and confidence you will need to successfully navigate the medical coding process. You will learn to make proper use of coding books, such as the CPT, ICD10-CM and ICD10-PCS, and HCPCS, utilize coding software, manage records, prepare insurance forms, and file claims. As an Asher graduate, you will be able to start your career at your choice of clinics, physician´s offices, hospitals, ambulatory surgery centers, and billing companies.

MEDICAL RECORDS SPECIALIST

Our Medical Records Specialist program offers career training in the billing process, utilizing medical software, managing records, preparing insurance forms, and filing claims, all of which make you eligible for hire by employers in most medical office settings.

HEALTH INFORMATION SPECIALIST

In our Health Information Specialist program, you will learn how to collect, maintain, and analyze health information, leading you to a career as a member of the health care team in numerous healthcare settings.

PHARMACY TECHNICIAN

Our Pharmacy Technician program delivers the skills needed to review and process prescriptions in a retail or community pharmacy environment. Students enrolled in this program will learn what it takes to work under the supervision of a registered pharmacist, as well as the top 200 drugs, elements of a prescription, knowledge of IV infusions and compounding calculations, pharmacy law and ethics, the history of pharmacy, and pharmacy practices in retail and hospital settings. This program is only available at our Sacramento campus.
