Asher College has been recognized as a Military Friendly® School by VIQTORY for the last two years. Produced annually, the Military Friendly® School list recognizes schools across the country that best accommodate military veterans. VIQTORY, a service-disabled, veteran-owned small business (SDVOSB) which aims to connect the military community to civilian employment, educational and entrepreneurial opportunities, has produced the Military Friendly® Schools list since 2009. Military Friendly® Schools are described as those who strive towards and succeed in the areas that matter most in helping veterans make the transition from the military to school and, ultimately, satisfying careers in the civilian world. Earning the designation shows that the school has met the minimum criteria. Asher College not only met these criteria, they went above and beyond. Asher was recognized as a top Military Friendly® school, and awarded the Bronze designation in the category of non-traditional schools.
In order to fulfill its mission of serving both veterans and military spouses, VIQTORY also produces the Military Spouse Friendly® Schools list. VIQTORY’s Military Spouse Friendly® School list is designed to be a comprehensive guide and reliable resource for military spouses looking to further their education. The Military Spouse Friendly® Schools list has set a standard for higher education institutions to provide the best post-secondary education experiences for spouses of service members. This year 196 schools earned this prestigious designation, including Asher College’s Sacramento, California and Dallas, Texas locations.
Asher College has a long history of supporting Veterans, and was excited to be recognized this year for their dedication to military spouses and families. In announcing the Military Spouse Friendly® Schools designation, Asher’s Director of Marketing, Kim Gasper, said “Asher College is proud to honor the sacrifice of military families, and we are dedicated in our service to them. At Asher, we want the spouses of our active military to have every available opportunity for education.”
Asher College’s flexible class schedules and start times, dedication to individualized student support, and financial aid offerings have made Asher an excellent choice for Veterans and military spouses and families. Asher’s customizable schedules, including evening, weekend, and accelerated courses, are designed to accommodate the busy and often-changing scheduling demands of military families. Asher College provides extensive support to veteran and military family students, and has a Certifying Official at each campus who can help answer any questions and will assist with any of the paperwork needed to pursue enrollment. Asher College has been approved for Veterans benefits since 2002, and currently serves Veterans using Chapter 30, Chapter 31, Chapter 33 (Post 9-11), and Chapter 35 and Ch. 1606. Asher College is also an eligible provider for the My Career Advancement Account (MyCAA) scholarships to military spouses who qualify.
