Each of Asher’s three campus locations were recognized with 2022-23 Military Friendly® awards. Asher College of Dallas and Asher College Las Vegas were each honored with a Gold award, while Asher College of Sacramento received a Silver award. The Military Friendly® School list is created annually by VIQTORY, a service-disabled, veteran-owned small business (SDVOSB) founded in 2001. VIQTORY is not a part of or endorsed by the U.S. Department of Defense or any government entity, but is a private company with a mission to connect the military community to civilian employment, educational and entrepreneurial opportunities through it’s G.I. Jobs® and Military Friendly® brands.
The Military Friendly® School list is created each year based on extensive research using public data sources for over 8,800 schools nationwide, input from student veterans, and responses to the proprietary, data-driven Military Friendly® Schools survey from participating institutions. The survey questions, methodology, criteria, and weighting, were developed with the assistance of an independent research firm and an advisory council of educators and employers. The survey is administered for free and is open to all post-secondary schools that wish to participate. Criteria for consideration may be found at www.militaryfriendly.com.
To earn the Military Friendly® School designation, institutions are evaluated using both public data sources and responses from the proprietary survey. Methodology, criteria, and weightings are determined by VIQTORY with input from the Military Friendly® Advisory Council of independent leaders in the higher education and military recruitment community. Final ratings are determined by combining the institution’s survey scores with an assessment of the institution’s ability to meet thresholds for student retention, graduation, job placement, loan repayment, persistence (degree advancement or transfer), and loan default rates for all students and, specifically, for student veterans. Asher is proud to have all three campuses meet this threshold of excellence.
Asher College is proud of our long history of individualized student support, and our support of the veteran and military community in particular.
